Created during a storm, this masterpiece began with stillness. Trapped indoors—perched on the kitchen sink near the window—I longed to paint. Rain crashed down outside, and as I stared through the glass, I wandered inward… into my own internal downpour. A brainstorm.

I used wood from the barn to build the outer frame of the canvas. When the rain passed, the only dry place was a patch beneath some boards I had moved— just enough room to begin. That space ended up working just fine. It always does when it’s meant to.

This work is a portal! It began with a window—not the grand, fancy door we all want to walk through. A subtle, sacred symbol of waiting, reflection, and revelation. A threshold between stillness and becoming. It captures a space between light and shadow, fantasy and truth, grief and grace, rain and resurrection.

The piano composition was created and performed by Logan-Miles’ twin brother, Lucas-Reid Allison—his creative counterpart and lifelong collaborator. With a God-given gift, Lucas-Reid plays from the soul, offering a soundscape that elevates the entire work. His music does not simply accompany the piece; it completes it. Every note moves between the brushstrokes, carrying the message beyond the visual—into something deeply felt, sacred, and unforgettable!
