Created in Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA, this piece was originally supposed to be a contract for Ro Gallery in New York—but like most things in my world, it turned into something else.

I decided to turn the contract itself into a work of art. My terms weren’t typical—they were the kind only the fewest of the few ever dare to ask for, let alone accomplish. But they came from something greater!

 I’m just the paintbrush. I let myself be used—and on that day, what came out wasn’t really the deal we all had in mind… it was more of a “birthday” for a story that was birthed out of a dead contract! – A little something we could all smile at!
