The Weekley Beat (ART)

The Weekley Beat

ABOUT:

At first glance, a chaos of color and form—yet hidden within, a monumental face slowly reveals itself. A reflection of life itself: some may perceive the whole; others gather only fragments. This work invites contemplation, layered like memory, shaped by the unique paths we each walk.

This is a journey through individuality, where everyone’s path looks different—yet each is valid. Embedded throughout are hidden messages: a Cutlass Supreme, tic-tac-toe symbolizing the game of life where the resurrected Yeshua always wins, and glimpses of daily struggles—the grind, the confusion, the silent battles we face month after month. A figure of a man hangs in tension—symbolizing the moment one chooses to defeat their darkness and leave it behind. Not as an end, but a turning point. A visual crucible where pain becomes breakthrough.

There are signs of stock rises and crashes, symbols of risk and resilience, reminding us of the glory found not in perfection, but in persistence. The crash is not the end—it’s an invitation to rise again. And in the rising, the Creator adds feathers to those who show up with effort, compassion, and forgiveness.

Look closer: Pento beans, red crosses, traveling thoughts, and the ache of what we think we’re missing—until we discover that the true adventure lies in the stillness of where we are. Even the brows speak: one side drawn with frustration and anger; the other, stitched and softened—evidence of healing underway. Together, they tell a silent story of transformation. The cross—representing Jesus—sits beside us, wherever the adventure may lead. Angels walk quietly in the background, ever present, even when unseen.

The background is filled with layered phrases and symbols—codes waiting to be broken. Among them, one truth stands out: “Today is the day the Lord has made; I shall rejoice and be glad in it.” Not just to be read—but to be known deep within. A call to awaken our deepest consciousness to the gift of now.

This piece is about being grounded, growing, and seizing the day—one breath, one choice, one revelation at a time.
